Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page set up in memory of Sam Watkins.
Sam was a lovely, intelligent young man who was taken well before his time. He was an avid quizzer at his local, The Urmston where he gained many friends. He was very noticeable with his tall stature, impeccably smart appearance, great intellect and warm and humble nature. He was a quiet man, but a man who made a big impression with everyone he met and has since left a mighty big hole in our lives.
Sam had been diagnosed with leukaemia and had been successfully been treated for it. Unfortunately, complications set in and his frail health quickly deteriorated. Sam left us on Wednesday 1st July 2020, however he will never leave our hearts and minds. We were all very privileged to have known him. He was a big man, a great man and man everyone loved.
Please join in on Thursday 9th July on the Online Quiz in his memory, doing the thing he loved to do and at the same time make a donation to this fund set-up especially in his name to raise much needed funds for The Christie.
Could we ask you to wear a dickie-bow for the quiz in memory of Sam. He would have loved it immensely and I know lots of people will be doing as our nod the big guy.
