Story
Likes mud? - tick
Like talking shit? - tick
Likes running? - ....um....crap....I mean, ummm....maybe?
10 km of mud and toilet themed obstacles and a chance for glory. That is ToughSh!t.
The important bit is that all money raised for the event goes to WaterAid, which is an infinitely worthy cause. Access to clean water and adequate sanitation is basic human tight and yet there are millions of people who do not have either. I get annoyed when I have to flush the toilet twice, so I can only imagine what its like to go day in day out without a toilet, let alone a clean, flushing one. WaterAid help by providing the hard goods, enabling that access to clean water and toilets, as well as providing the education that is necessary for the change. This is their statement:
"Everything we do is about getting safe water, sanitation and hygiene to everyone, everywhere by 2030. We deliver services and make change happen."
Just £15 can help provide one person with access to safe water.(WASHCost and WaterAid, 2014).
OK, so my final word on this is that I am no super fit person gym bunny, I am not used to running on a regular basis, I do not take part in team sports.....BUT, I am going to do the best I can do and cross that finish line, even if it kills me!
