The Three Peaks with the Two Pete’s, 1 October 2022
We help the hospital offer a better future to seriously ill children across the UK

Story

So four guys around a BBQ decided to do the Three Peaks Challenge.

Two Pete’s, One Sean and a Chris decided to test themselves by attempting to summit the largest peak in Scotland, England and Wales (Ben Nevis, Scafell pike and Snowdon) within the same 24 hr period.

Why?????

Well apart from being a little nuts and looking for an adventure they are all Fathers.

We decided to make sure that if we were going to lace up our boots and ascend over 10,000ft over a 24 hour period we would do it for something close to all our hearts.

We felt the best words to describe WHY??? Came from Chris’ partner Amie the mother of a wonderful little girl named Elenie…….

Every day brings new challenges for Great Ormond Street Hospital. Around 600 seriously ill children arrive at GOSH everyday from all over the UK.

Great Ormond Street has always depended on charitable support to help give seriously ill children the best chance to fulfil their potential.

We are fundraising for this extraordinary hospital as it is close to our hearts.

Elenie was born with a rare disease called Lymphangioma which was discovered 30 weeks prenatal. This means her lymphatic system never fully developed resulting in fluid build up, cysts and benign tumours (cystic hygromas) building in the right side of her chest wall.

Despite living with a life long disease which has caused many complications and related illnesses, those who know Elenie, know she lives her life to the full and a brave, spirited, fun little girl. She has had a total of 9 operations to date to remove and reform parts of her chest, but undoubtedly there will be more to come. Without the support of Great Ormond Street Hospital life for Elenie would be very different.

Despite the greatest challenges a child can face, the hospital is a place where being sick does not always mean being sad. It’s a place where you’ll find (Today and Everyday) some of the bravest people you could ever meet.

We want to give back to this charity and wonderful Hospital by raising as much money as we can to help children like Elenie and give many seriously ill children the best possible future’’ Amie Beard

So there you have it. Please give whatever you can however small to support us in giving back to a wonderful cause.

See you all at the Top!!!!!!!!!
