The Valeria Fund was created in 2023 to support the Maternal Infant Care unit at Bluewater Health in sustainably creating comfort kits for bereaved parents who have experienced infant loss.

When we were in the hospital with our daughter, Araminta Valeria, we felt so supported by the wonderful medical team. We were also blessed with beautiful memorial gifts to remember the baby we couldn't bring home with us. This was all thanks to generous donors.

We want to ensure that the MIC team can continue to support other grieving families with physical mementos of the babies we cannot carry in our arms, but always in our hearts.

As of October 2025, we are expanding our support to offering comfort items to those experiencing pregnancy loss in the Emergency Department and Ultrasound.
