Story

It's that special time of year again and time to start planning our annual St George's Day dinner & sing-song ding-dong, held in memory of my very good friend Bob Wade, who died in 2011 aged just 47.

This year's ding-dong will be in aid of the Wisdom Hospice in Rochester, a fantastic place that gave Bob (and his mum) much needed respite. I know that he really valued what they do. So to make sure this continues, I will of course be mugging you for money on the night.

Once again, we are very nearly sold out, which is good news. But it does mean that many of you won't be there or can't make it for some other reason.

However, you can still give, should you feel so disposed, and if you do - thanks :)
