Story
All donations on this page go directly to our chosen charity partner, the Born Free Foundation.
Born Free President, Will Travers, OBE:
"The XP club members are doing something remarkable. In a world too often dominated by the 'I' culture, they recognise the value of 'us', where, if we care enough, we can make a difference to those less fortunate. Hats off to each and everyone of them."
The XP Club
The XP club's mission is to take on global challenges while leaving a positive footprint through philanthropy everywhere we go.
In February 2018 we will be climbing to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for the charity 'Born Free Foundation' and also the deprived workers on the mountain.
The money raised will go towards providing access to education for children living in poverty, safer living conditions for fragile local communities and also wildlife conservation.
We are determined to join the very small but elite club of people from around the world who can proudly say they made it to the top of Kilimanjaro, one of the world greatest natural wonders.
Sincerely,
The XP club
Mount Kilimanjaro
This will be a gruelling and dangerous 7 day trek, hiking through 5 different ecosystems, beginning with temperatures of 30c and dropping to a freezing minus 29c at the peak, pushing us to our physical and mental limits.
We have started an intense training program to ensure we make it to the summit, which at 5,895m above sea level is the highest free standing mountain in the world. Labelled, 'The Roof Of Africa' as at the summit you are above the clouds and looking down on the rest of the world.
Climbers: Harj Bains, Riky Bains, Lak Khela, Guv Hayer, Jaz Sandhu, Balpreet Daffu.
