Fundraising for Samaritans
Story
I have chosen to raise awareness of, and fundraise for Samaritans as this charity has made a huge difference to my life. Samaritans charity would be grateful for any donations big or small, which is quick and easy through the 'Donate' link-you can even use PayPal.
I wish to positively advertise the Samaritans phone line 116 123 - they offer someone to talk to if you are feeling stressed, lonely, angry, upset, confused, sad, in despair or just need a chat because it seems like the end of the world that you put too much milk in your tea! They offer you the right to be heard. Their service is outstanding and I hope it will stay that way but they need the funds to do so.
Do you know you can ask Samaritans to call someone if you are worried about them?
The 24th September will see me complete my 98th marathon in Berlin. I am grateful to Samaritans for their 'no-pressure' charity place at this event.
The 8th October I will be travelling to my home county, North Yorkshire to complete the marathon in York. It was important to me to have this particular marathon in my portfolio.
On the 28th October I will meet my goal of 100 marathons at Beachy Head. I am very excited, thankful to all my friends and sponsors and hope to meet my fundraising target of £2,000 by this date.
