Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm part of the York Inflatable 5K Team who are raising money for an incredible local charity, Oscars Paediatric Brain Tumour Charity.

Oscar and I were friends in the same class at Dunnington Primary School, York. Oscar sadly died of a Medulloblastoma (a brain tumour) in May 2014. As he went through treatment he put all his energy into staying strong for everyone around him, as well as fundraising for other children with cancer. He was an inspiration to everyone who knew him.

OSCAR'S (Ongoing Support, Care Awareness and Research) Paediatric Brain Tumour Charity was formed in November 2014. The charity exists to support and care for children facing brain tumours, to raise awareness of children's brain tumours and to fund new research to drive diagnosis time, increase survival rate and improve children's quality of life during and after treatment.

Please help me in raising money for this charity.

About the charity

OSCAR's PBTC was set up in memory of Oscar Hughes, a 9-year-old who died of a brain tumour in 2014. His journey was heartbreaking yet inspiring. OSCAR's aims to provide support and care to children with brain tumours, raise awareness to help diagnosis and fund research into better treatments.
