Friends of the Neuro Ward works to improve the comfort and care of patients on Wards 204 + 205 at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and the Neuro Rehab Unit (NRU) at Woodend. We work closely with staff to buy the right 'extras' - from medical equipment to games, activities and patient comforts.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In November 2022, my mum, Mandi Dorward, suddenly passed away due to an aneurism in the brain. In the days prior to her being transferred to Edinburgh for additional procedures, she was treated in the Neuro Ward at ARI.

Having only taken up running during the last couple of years, she signed herself up to the Garioch Half Marathon and it was to be her first. I will be running in her place in her memory, raising money for the Friends of Neuro Ward which provide support and funding for Wards 204 & 205 in ARI.
