In the 19th October 2020 at 14:20 our family gained Florence, 12 weeks early and weighing 2lbs 12oz straight after birth she was taken away to be cared for in the Trevor Mann Baby Unit (Tmbu).

The weeks to come proved to be a complete rollercoaster of emotions but Flo beat all the odds and 52 days later we were discharged to go home to meet her family 4 weeks before she was due to enter the world  

Over the time in TMBU we had complete admiration for all the doctors and nurses that cared for Flo and with out their love, care and knowledge Flo would not be with us now, for that we will be eternally grateful

The early birth association is a charity set up that supports the TMBU and families with babies being cared for there. 

So I would like to give a bit back to say thank you.... so before Flo’s first birthday I am going to complete a triathlon to help raise as much money as possible. 

I am going to 

Open water swim 2miles (2lbs Flo’s lowest weight)

Cycle 52 miles ( 52 days in TMBU)

Run 4.3miles (4lbs 3oz Flo’s weight when discharged)

Please help me raise as much as possible or send a few words of encouragement or join me on a training run or cycle to keep me company all will be appreciated
