Castle to Castle · 17 June 2017

For more than three decades, OPA Cancer Charity has fought against oesophageal and gastric cancers, raising awareness about the dangers of persistent heartburn, Barrett’s oesophagus and acid reflux (GORD). We support patients, caregivers and their families.

Story

The Oesophageal Patients Association is a caring organisation providing information for patients, their carers and family affected by oesophageal or gastric cancers.  The essential aim is to raise awareness and enable new patients and carers, who need advice and help, to meet and talk to former patients and carers

Early diagnosis of oesophageal or stomach cancer is crucial and means treatment is more likely to be successful, as was the case with a member of my family.  By taking part in the Castle to Castle challenge I hope to help the Association make a huge difference to support more patients and raise awareness of this type of cancer.
