Story
On the 26th of May I will be running the Edinburgh marathon in aid of Aspire!
Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help to those people who have been paralysed by spinal cord injury.
I was fortunate enough to recover from breaking my neck in 2016 and want to run my first marathon in aid of those less fortunate. Every eight hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. Nearly three-quarters of these injuries are sustained by men (70%) and the largest age group being those aged 21 to 30 (20%). Through Aspire's projects and programmes they empower people with spinal injury to lead fulfilled and independent lives.
I took up running this year to train for the event and I have now run further than London-Edinburgh in preparation. I am aiming for sub 3:30 but anything under 4 hours would be great.
Any donation would be most appreciated!
