Story
During the last few years I have become increasingly aware of the excellent work of Racing Welfare. I have worked in the industry since I left school nearly 20 years ago. It is comforting to know that such a great charity is easily accessible offering support to myself, friends and colleagues within British Horseracing.
Having been a keen cyclists for a few years, I completed my first 100 mile ride for charity last year. Conor Shoemark, Sam Davies Thomas, Charlie Poste and Myself were planning on doing a challenge this year to support Racing Welfare. When they told us they were already planning an event we jumped at the opportunity to get involved.
I will be trying to keep you updated of our progress trying to get fit building up to the event!
The challenge starts on the 17th August at Carlisle Racecourse later and ends 500miles and 5 days later at Newton Abbot Racecourse on 21st August. With the routine taking us through some of the toughest climbs in Yorkshire that have been famous for forming part of the Tour De France.
I would be very grateful if you could support me in this challenge by giving what you can to this fantastic charity that support the whole racing community.
