Event: Open Water Swimathon 2019, from 7 September 2019 to 8 September 2019
Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie are calling on the nation to take to the open water for Open Water Swimathon 2019 - thousands of swimmers, two great causes, one big charity challenge!

Story

My Dad had cancer 2 years ago and had a big operation where had to permenantly lose his voice to cure him.

He now has cancer again for the second time and he is going to start chemotherapy and radiotherapy soon.

I like swimming but am not used to swimming in a cold lake so this will be a big challenge for me, but I want to raise money for a charity that helps people like my dad. Please sponsor me to help keep me swimming.
