London Marathon 2022 · 2 October 2022 ·

At the Ostrich Foundation we’ve made it our mission to create a suicide safer society and when it comes to mental illness, we believe prevention is better than cure. We want people to become educated on how to spot initial anxieties before they manifest into bigger issues.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The physical challenge of completing the London Marathon has been on my sporting achievement bucket list for a long time. Being part of the UK’s largest fundraising sporting event would be a lifelong experience. And to do it all in aid of such an important cause, would be the crowning achievement.

The charity I have partnered with to raise awareness and donations for is the Ostrich Foundation. They’re a local Harrogate based charity who work with and supports other charities and NHS agencies to help reduce the number of young people who take their own lives, equipping them and their communities with the skills to recognise and respond to suicidal behaviour, as well as working continuously to shatter the stigma around suicide and encouraging people to talk.

Any contributions you're able to make to this worthy cause will mean a tremendous deal to my friends and family.
