Leukaemia Care supports anyone affected by leukaemia. Every day, 28 people in the UK are diagnosed. We offer information, emotional support and advocacy, so no one has to face leukaemia alone.

Story

On April 16th I'm running my first marathon in memory of Steve Molyneux, a much missed and loved Dad to Lindsay and Ryan, and husband of Jude.

Steve sadly passed away in November 2022 after a short but hard fought battle with acute myleoid leukaemia, a rare and very aggressive form of the disease which affects around 3,000 people in the UK every year.

Steve meant a huge amount to so many people, and was always unfailingly positive and supportive. He loved life and deserved so much more of it.

Throughout his treatment he was cared for by the most amazing team at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, and I'm raising money for Leukaemia Care to fund their vital work to support other families through the most difficult of times.

Compared to what Steve and the family went through last year, a marathon doesn’t feel like very much at all, but all donations are hugely appreciated. X
