Muscular Dystrophy UK is the charity bringing individuals, families and professionals together to beat muscle-wasting conditions.

Story

Thomas (aged 9!) says:

"Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page!

I am taking part in the Cheshire UK Kids Fun Duathlon on Saturday 20th May. It is at the Barony Park in Nantwich at 12pm. The course is a 400m run, then a 2k bike ride and then another run, which is 1k.

I am going to try my very best to use my muscles to complete the course.

I am lucky that I feel I can take part in this. I know some boys with poorly muscles that are the same age as me can't walk as far, or maybe do some of the things I can do. That is another reason why I want to do this.

All of the money I raise will be donated to the Duchenne Research Breakthrough Fund, which is part of Muscular Dystrophy UK. They are trying to find a better medicine to help boys like me with poorly muscles.

I will be training for it and I will update the page to let you know how it is going.

Please sponsor me! I would really love to reach my target of £200. It would make me very happy :)"
