We've decided to sign up to the Walk For Humanity 10k walk to try and do our bit for those less fortunate in a mad world. Operating in over 190 countries, the British Red Cross has a mission to help anyone who needs them.

However much you can give, your donation will help people who desperately need support. To give you an idea on the kind of thing your donation could go towards:

- £5 could provide people impacted by earthquakes in Turkey and Syria with a blanket to stay warm.

- £10 could provide mosquito nets to a family in Nigeria, protecting them from diseases like malaria.

- £20 could pay for essentials for a new parent in the UK who’s lost everything during flooding.

Yes, we're aware this doesn't mean we only have to do 5k each. Even though that's what the cat told us
