The Ballycotton 10 Mile Road Race · 4 March 2012

The Irish Cultural Centre Hammersmith opened its doors in 1995 as the premiere centre in the UK dedicated to the promotion and welfare of Irish art and culture abroad. We invite people of all backgrounds and cultures to participate in our core activities: culture, community, and education.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am running the Ballycotton 10 mile (16kms) road race on 4th March and need your support. This year I decided to raise as much as possible in aid of a cause close to home. The Irish Cultural Centre in Hammersmith, London is in danger of closing soon if it cannot raise the funds needed to buy the freehold of its premises. The Centre makes Irish arts, culture and education accessible to everyone. It also provides a welcome to those who may be isolated or marginalised in society. Of particular note is the good work the centre does to provide social events for elderly Irish emigrants and those on low incomes. The clock is ticking and not much time remains before the centre may be forced to close its doors. So please, give what you can! Thank you very much/go raibh mile maith agaibh.
