Fairfield Association - Morecambe Bay Walk · 21 August 2010 ·

The Fairfield Association is a charity which protects green and community spaces in Lancaster. We are responsible for the Fairfield Playground, the Millennium Orchard and the Fairfield Association Urban Nature Area (FAUNA) nature reserve. Our latest project is to protect the fields next to FAUNA.

Story

We're raising money for the Fairfield Association to buy land to extend FAUNA, an urban nature reserve in Lancaster.  We  walked across the sands of Morecambe Bay - a four-hour walk through mud, sand and two rivers - on August 21, 2010.  Your donation will help to protect green fields near the Fairfield Orchard and Lancaster Canal, provide new footpaths for walkers and encourage wading and other birds to visit the new wetland meadows we are creating.

Please give generously!
