Story

Three Idiots and an Irishman, the story of, well three idiots and an Irishman trying to cross Europe in a car costing less than £600 in six days.  A minimum of 2,820 kilometres, and three mountain passes what could go wrong?

The story starts almost thirty years ago when two of the idiots – James and Stuart met at school, and the Irishman (Gerry) joined the group 10 years later. Jim is the final member of the team. As three of us reached the big 4-0 we decided to plan a road trip to celebrate.

Whilst the aim of the trip is to have fun, that is not the sole purpose. In 2007 whilst on Stuart’s stag do James broke his back. Shortly afterwards he was diagnosed with Osteoporosis, a form of brittle bone disease. That has led to him having to undergo a hip replacements, and numerous operations. The team has therefore decided that the aim of the trip is to try to raise money for the National Osteoporosis Society. All money raised will go directly to the Charity, the car and travel being funded by the team and not by donations.

We have raised funds from a number of Corporate Sponsors who have the option of placing their logos on the team car, but any sponsorship from individuals is also appreciated.
