We all know somebody who has been affected by illness that has resulted in them requiring care at our local hospice St Luke's in Winsford, Cheshire.

So every year we try and raise a little money to help the staff at this fabulous place continue with the outstanding levels of care and compassion needed by some of our most loved ones.

This year an elite group of pub athletes are going to attempt the famous "Three Peaks Challenge" and climb the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales in under 24 hours.

This involves over 400 miles of driving, climbing three mountains with a total of over 3400m of ascent.

Many have tried this and many have failed, we hope a decent training plan from now till then will help us succeed in our quest.
