3 Peaks in 3 Weeks · 19 June 2010

The Marine Conservation Society is the UK charity dedicated to protecting our seas, shores and wildlife. We work to ensure that the rich wildlife of our seas can be restored, that fish stocks can recover and our beaches and bathing waters can become cleaner.

Story

Our 3 Peak Challenge begins on Saturday 19th June with Ben Nevis followed by Scarfel Pike on Saturday 26th June and finishing with Snowdon on Saturday 3rd July.

Both of us have been involved in charity events before which included a raft race, 1/2 marathons and a midnight walk. We decided, after a drunken night out, that this year we would raise money for the Marine Conservation Society and complete an event together. After I quickly eliminated any kind of running challenge we came to a joint decision on the 3 Peak Challenge over 3 consecutive weekends.

Those of you guys who know both Ros and Rosie will know the reason why we choose the MCS. They do a brilliant job of cleaning up our beaches to make it safe for animal life and for us to swim in and donations will also help towards them reducing overfishing which devastates the life in our seas.

So please donate as much as you can for a really good cause. If you want to find out more about where your money will go check out www.mcsuk.org/support.

Remember we're doing 3 peaks, so if you were thinking of donating £2 why not make it £6!!!

We'll be posting photo's on here after each peak so watch this space.
