Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our page.

We (Natalie, Louise & Emilio) decided one drunken afternoon to set ourselves the challenge of walking the National Three Peaks in 24 hours - that’s Ben Nevis, Scafell and Snowden. We wanted to get fit and wanted something to aim for. The fourth person around the table that day was Paul who decided he would be kind enough to be our designated driver and all round manager on the ground. The “silent” partner on the team.  Then it was decided that at the same time, we should do it to raise money for a good cause.  We knew instantly who we wanted to do it for.

Just over three years ago one of beloved and awesome friends, Norman McLeod, was diagnosed with a brain tumour - a glioblastoma - a very very aggressive and mostly incurable type.  Our friend was given three months to live. It came out of nowhere. Despite an incredibly brave and strong fight, he passed away six months later - already beating his prognosis by 3 months.

So on Saturday 22nd June 2019, we want to walk for our friend Norman and raise money for research into this devastating and deadly condition so that more people can stand a better chance of beating it in the future.

Natalie, Louise, Emilio and Paul all greatly appreciate your donation and please know you are giving to an excellent cause x
