Extreme Three Peaks - Sleeping at the summits · 13 April 2018

HHA has been working in the developing world since 2006. Originally in Haiti alone but now in East Africa, Hope Health Action focuses its work on the most vulnerable groups in society to tackle poverty by reducing maternal and infant mortality and improving disability care and rehabilitation.

Story

A team of 8 people will attempt to climb and sleep at the top of each of the three peaks three nights in a row.

Where is there to camp at the top? Nowhere?

It will be extreme survival three nights in a row across Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike and Snowdon, but we will have each other.

Why do this? Hope Health Action's partner hospital in Haiti is desperately in need of life saving equipment for its Emergency and Trauma service. On our wish-list is new ambulance types, ambulance oxygen, breathing tubes, limb splints and devices for emergency vascular access.

We would love to raise enough money to fully kit out our trauma service that Rob and others are looking to implement in the Autumn Term.

This is a genuinely worthwhile cause and hopefully a great excuse for donating to this amazing charity.

The team so far includes:

Simon, Lucy, Andy, George, Lisa, Livy, Alastair and Rob.
