Story
I have been friends with Ali and Sue since high school and three years ago we signed up for a walk for cancer…. but then Covid had other plans.
Since then sadly Alison’s mum has bravely fought and lost her battle with cancer. My mum and cousin have now also been diagnosed with cancer so this time the walk has a rather personal connection and we have first hand experience of the work that Macmillan do. So it's great to have another opportunity to raise funds and to show our appreciation for the lovely Macmillan nurses who have been so supportive and helpful.
This walk, although in a beautiful part of the world, will test our legs with lots of sand and a particularly tough stretch of shingle about 7 miles in… so we're looking forward to pushing ourselves with this challenge!
We know this is tough time for a lot of people but please know how much we appreciate every donation - even the smallest amount will make such a big difference.
Mum and Mark, this is for you ❤️
