We're running Paula's Equator Relay in aid of Shoe4Africa

Thursday TrYumphants · 3 December 2021
We were so shocked and saddened to learn that 9 out of 10 children diagnosed with cancers are dying in Kenya and sub-Saharan Africa. And so we're joining Paula's Equator Relay to complete 50 miles in the run up to Christmas to help Paula Radcliffe and daughter Isla, who contracted cancer in 2019, raise funds in aid of Shoe4Africa.
We'll be running laps around the woodchip trail at Baslow Sports Field to meet our target. We need to run 111 each session in the lead up to Christmas. It will be a challenge but we can do it!
Then on 24th December 2021 a small group of runners led by British superstar Paula Radcliffe will be joined by Kenyan Olympic stars to run a 50 mile relay from the equator to the site where a ground-breaking ceremony will take place to build a 152 bed public children's cancer hospital. This will be the first ever children's cancer hospital in sub-Saharan Africa, private or public.
