Story

As many of you will know I am a personal trainer and owner of FLS Fitness, in Simonstone. Throughout February I will be doing 250 Burpees a day to commemorate the lives that are lost to suicide each week in the UK.

Although personally I have never been in such a place where I feel that the only option is suicide. I have been effected by suicide / attempted suicide. I dare say the majority of people of a certain age could say the same. Many of us will know or of known somebody that has felt suicide is the only escape.

As I get older, the number of people I see affected seems to grow. Unfortunately current statistics show this is a national trend. In 2018 suicide deaths in the UK rose by 10.9% on the previous year. However with out the good work of The Samaritans I fear this number could be much worse with the pressures of modern society.

So for this reason I would like to ask you all to help me raise £250 to this fantastic organisation. Every £5 raised is the average cost of a call, so if my target is made WE COULD POTENTIALLY BE SAVING 50 LIVES.

PENNYS or POUNDS it is all sincerely appreciated.
