Gaz Milner (left of pic) and Oli Mills (right of pic) will be running the Tidworth 10k on 07 November 2010 in aid of The Salisbury District Hospital Stars Appeal.

The Tidworth 10k + 3k Fun Run was the brain child of Tidworth-based Signal Squadron soldiers Paul Munslow and Mark Morgan. They wanted to do something to help the local Hospital that had provided care for so many of their fellow serviceman and their families.

The first run in 2005 attracted 300 runners and raised £8,000. Since then the event has grown to become one the largest 10k’s in central Southern England!

It has raised over £120,000 helping the Salisbury District Hospital Stars Appeal to fund projects benefiting thousands of local people, including the provision of one of Europe’s most advanced keyhole surgery suites, a range of state-of-the-art equipment for premature and critically ill babies and additional facilities within the new Childrens Unit due to open in December 2010.

Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated, however both of the "Tidworth Twins" (Gaz + Oli) will be much happier with their efforts, the greater the amount that they raise.

Please see this link for an event poster,
http://www.tidworth10k.co.uk/PDF/4800TidworthA4Posterborder.pdf

Please note there is a scary hill about halfway through the route,
http://www.tidworth10k.co.uk/PDF/Tid10KRouteMap2010.pdf

http://www.tidworth10k.co.uk/
http://www.starsappeal.org/
