Story
Charities general fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income. This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly as well as the vital work in areas such as palliative care, serious diseases, mental health, housing support, food supplies and countless others that charities support.
My family are doing what they can to help out many charities as possible during this time as-well as the NHS, other charities are majorly struggling due to cancellation of many of their fundraising events. I’m going to be supporting Cancer research UK which something very close to our hearts especially at the moment. After clearing that I am medically allowed I am going to be taking part in the 2.6 challenge, doing a 2.6km walk each day with my pooch for 16 days starting on the 26th April and this will total up to 26 miles! (Not a far distance really I know but all I’m allowed as I’m not meant to do much exercise at the moment!) You will get plenty pics of my puppa strutting her stuff for charity, she might even get a cute outfit on for it 😜 Thank you so much for reading and any donations would be hugely appreciated xx
