Just asking for a little bit of help!
I am going to take on this Challenge and run 2.62 miles per day starting on Sunday 26th April for 26 days - finishing on Friday 22nd May....this is not an easy task for me as I haven't run for a few months now but I am determined to do this and try and raise much needed funds for St John's Hospice.
I am doing this 2-6 Challenge for quite a few reasons and here are some of them:
(1) St John's Hospice is loosing thousands of pounds per day from charitable donations due to the current Pandemic. I want to try and give something back and support the invaluable services they provide.
(2) Having a business myself I am currently trying to keep things going and keep the wheels turning for the business, our employees and for ourselves. Making sure I keep "the wheels turning" on a family business which has been on the High Street in Lancaster for over 64 years. We don't want to leave the High Street. As a consequence I've been feeling a bit over whelmed with everything so getting back out there and running will hopefully help me stay focused, de-stress and get fitter at the same time!
(3) Thirdly and not least St John's Hospice supported my beloved mum Pamela before she passed away back in 2015 and without them she would not have been able to spend the last days at home where she wanted to be. Forever grateful!
For this 2-6 Challenge I want to raise £262 (more if I can) for St John's Hospice and will confirm my distance every day to those of you who have sponsored me.
