Sponsored 10km Walk · 14 July 2017

Tiggywinkles is the World's busiest Wildlife Hospital, rescuing over 10,000 sick, injured and orphaned wild animals every year. Their 24 hour service enables them to care for all species of British wildlife, including hedgehogs, badgers, wild birds and even toads, and they deal with 70,000 emergency phone calls every year.

Story

Our group had never met before prior to 26th May, when we met on National Citizen's Service - ran by Action 4 Youth Aylesbury. We have been set the task to raise awareness, fundraise and volunteer for the Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital in Haddenham, and as part of this we have arranged to do a 10km sponsored walk from Kingsbury Square, Aylesbury, to the Tiggywinkles centre in Haddenham.

The walk is on Friday 14th July, starting at 9am

Our aim for our project is to raise awareness about how to look after wildlife in your local area, as well as collect money and supplies for the hospital.

Please consider sponsoring our page as well as sharing it with your friends and family in order to support Tiggywinkles to ensure that they can continue helping wildlife in the future, and continue to expand their services.

Tiggywinkles is the first and the world’s busiest Wildlife teaching hospital. With over 10,000 British wildlife casualties coming through their doors every year. Their patients range from the tiny pipistrelle bats to fully-grown Fallow deer.

Tiggywinkles takes in any sick, injured or orphaned British wildlife and rescue, rehabilitate and when 100% fit and they will release it back into the wild.

The hospital is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year to receive casualties. With an office hours general advice line and a 24-hour emergency help line for large animal casualties.
