We have pledged to raise £5,000 for Mind in 2023. From internal bake sales, marathons, skydives and the generosity of our customers, we are committed to reaching our target. 

We want to go above and beyond for all our customers and colleagues and spreading awareness of the importance of mental health is at the forefront of this year's Tile Giant plans. 

We especially want to focus on raising awareness and support for all tradespeople. We have a loyal Tile Giant Trade Rewards customer base of over 300k people. We are painfully aware that the trade industry has one of the highest suicide rates. Every single working day in the UK, 2 tradespeople take their own lives. Statistically male, self-employed tradespeople are 3 x times more likely to take their own life than an average UK man. 

We want to break the stigma that surrounds mental health issues, especially amongst men in the trade industry. You are not alone and there are people here to help. 

We will plan various events throughout the year to help us raise money and spread awareness across the country, with the help of our dedicated network of colleagues in 80+ UK stores. We encourage all the teams to participate, as we are all in this together! 

By the end of 2024, we aim to have at least 1 Mental Health first aider in each of our stores, as we believe that as an industry, we should all be doing more to support our traders.
