At the end of this month I am running the Leicester 10k in memory of our beautiful, determined, inspiring Aimi McCaffery, who I still can't believe is no longer with us. I am raising funds for Love4Life so that we can carry on the work she was so passionate about. Aimi was a keen runner, and died doing just that. At the time she died, I had just finished my couch to 5k training, and made a promise to myself that I wouldn't let her death stop me running, as tempting as it was. Aimi loved that I was getting into running, so I knew that at some point I wanted to run and fundraise in memory of her, and now - 1 year on since I started running and couldn't manage longer than 45 seconds without a break - I am hoping to complete the Leicester 10k.
