Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On the 21st of May myself, my husband and brother (Bridget, Tony and Chris) are taking part in a trek across the South Downs to raise money for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

Our daughter/niece was looked after in the Royal Marsden hospitals when she was diagnosed with Cancer in January of last year at the age of just 17. Whilst she was an in-patient at the Sutton Marsden my husband saw a poster for the trekathon and knew he wanted to take part in the event to raise money for the Marsden Cancer charity.

Matilda sadly passed away in September of 2015 after a brave battle with her illness. We would like to attempt this 26 mile walk in memory of our Matilda and to raise money for the Marsden that looked after her so well and so that they can continue to provide the best care possible for people still fighting Cancer.

All your support is so very appreciated and hopefully together we can raise money to help provide all the research necessary for a future without Cancer.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
