Story
The 2019 McGlashathon
This year, all three male McGlashans, Tim, Ollie and Nick will take on the London Marathon on behalf of an incredible charity - Debbie Fund. The Debbie Fund is set up in memory of Debbie Phillips, who died of cervical cancer aged 48 on 11th February 2010.
Cervical cancer is a horrible disease that is being combated significantly by work carried out by charities like the Debbie Fund. It is the fourth most common cancer in women worldwide and it is the most common cancer for women aged 15-34 in England. Worldwide there are around half a million new cases and a quarter of a million deaths each year. We, like many other families, have been directly affected by this awful disease targeting those we love and, whilst our story fortunately didn't end up in the worst case scenario, many other families aren't so lucky.
Together, we want to raise a minimum of £3,000 to help fund this valuable research to give more women a fighting chance - thank you so much for your help in supporting us doing so!
