Walking the length of Hadrian's Wall · 22 September 2019

Our mission is improve the lives of all people affected by ME. Working towards a future where everyone with ME receives the understanding, equity and care they deserve. We provide practical support and healthcare services, as well as funding breakthrough research and campaigning for change.

Story

My daughter has severe ME and I'm walking Hadrian’s Wall at the end of September to raise money for Action for ME’s children’s service .

As a young person, who is very severely affected by M.E, our daughter Rosie and all of us were supported through very challenging times by Mary-Jane Willows, now Head of Children and Young People Service at Action for M.E. I am going to be walking the length of Hadrian’s Wall  from 22nd to 28th September to raise funds to ensure this invaluable  work continues. The money raised will provide funding for additional journeys to support the most complex cases. Please give whatever you can to support this essential work.

When confronted by so much ignorance of the condition by the NHS and other professionals, it was so important to us to have the support of people who really understood.  We don’t know what we would have done without it.

Friends Matthew and Peter are joining Tim on the 6 day, 84-mile walk from Wallsend to Bowness on Solway.  Tim is hoping to raise £10 for every mile of the walk (£840).
