Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk · 20 September 2020
Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
For those who don’t know, Emily’s mum, Joanne, was diagnosed with early onset dementia in 2018 at just 50 years old and bravely battles with the effects each day. We walk in support of Joanne, especially as she’s unable to do this walk herself this year.
I also lost my Granny to it when I was younger and in recent years me and the boys have lost Nana Winnie and Great Grandma Battye to dementia. We also walk in memory of those we have lost.
It’s such an important cause and every penny raised will help towards a cure and in the meantime will support those impacted by the disease.
