Junior Achievement believes in the boundless potential of young people and our aim is to help them to develop skills that will help them to get a job or to start their own business. Each year we need to raise £300,000 to support 5,500 students and 400 volunteers. Please help support our work.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In October 2019 I will be undertaking a ten day trek across the wilds of rural Vietnam in aid of the charity Junior Achievement Isle of Man.

Junior Achievement perform a vital role in preparing the Island's children and young people for life in the work place and provide the opportunity for them to:

  • increase their self-esteem and confidence;
  • learn how to manage money and not get into debt;
  • be successful in life regardless of their academic ability;
  • develop team working and decision making skills;
  • transfer the skills learnt in education into their life once they finish school;
  • develop skills for work;
  • understand how the world of business works;
  • learn how to do business ethically and sustainably; and
  • develop their entrepreneurial skills.
The charity is able to provide their programmes to children free of charge because of the generous donations of the public and their sponsors. This ensures that all of the Island's children, regardless of background, are afforded the same opportunities and therefore the best start in life.
