Story

Hello !

To celebrate turning 50 I have decided to run the Royal Parks Half Marathon !

Whilst doing this I hope you can help me support the aims of the Makers of Playing Cards (Livery Company) Charity.

It is a small charity helping those charities that don’t often get the national headlines.

Its aim - the advancement, education, health and wellbeing of people under the age of 25.

It provides small grants – around £2,000pa – that make a huge difference to each charity.

The below are a selection of the charities it is helping or has helped in the past few years:

Maypole Project - helping children and families affected by a child’s diagnosis of a terminal illness.

Scotty’s Little Soldiers - national charity helping bereaved military children.

Bloomfield Learning Centre - providing 1-to-1 specialist literacy teaching for children with dyslexia and other difficulties.

Eastside Young Leaders Academy - nurture and develop the health and well-being of young people – especially those in minority communities.

Child Rescue Nepal - prevention and rescue of children from slavery and trafficking.

Treloar’s School - 24-hour care and education for children with severe physical disabilities.

Clear Sky - charity helping children who have experienced bullying, bereavement, or a parent in prison

These are charities you probably won’t have heard of, so for them, every donation really does make a difference.

I hope you can help me help them.

Many thanks

Tim
