I was moved to start the Inspired Living charity following the sad loss of my wife, Marey, to breast cancer early last year. I had been incubating a plan to raise a significant amount of money for Cancer Research UK on the unevitable happened: turning what is a devastating loss in to something positive.

Inspired living is now a local charity comittee for Cancer Research UK and we are encouraging up to 1000 people to cycle from Winchester to Portsmouth in September 2010 with 37 people going on to cycle 2000 miles all the way to Gibraltar. As a local GP, I want to raise money for Cancer Research and increase awarness that small improvements to diet and exercise can have a big impact on health and happiness.
