Christmas Collection - Clock Tower Homeless Shelter

Clock Tower Homeless Shelter · 20 November 2020
I am running a Christmas collection for The Clock Tower Sanctuary in Brighton.
They are the only drop-in day centre in Brighton & Hove for 16-to-25 year olds who are homeless or insecurely housed. They provide space and emotional support, as well as access to essential services.
As a small charity, they rely entirely on donations to keep services running. Many of their fundraising events have been cancelled this year due to the pandemic.
They provide the everyday things that young homeless people need, like somewhere to shower, do laundry, eat a healthy meal, use computers and get post.
By helping to meet these practical needs, young homeless people can focus on their futures and potential. Christmas is a particularly difficult time to be homeless, as most of these people have no family and a very limited support network.
Young people have been particularly hit hard by the pandemic and those in a vulnerable situation now face an even more challenging time, with less opportunities and chances to escape.
My situation when I was 16-25 was a lot different to those I want to help; for me Brighton was, and can still be, a place of safety and fun; a stark contrast to vulnerable young people’s experiences.
The Clock Tower Sanctuary would appreciate your kind donation, big or small.
Thank you.
