We build thriving gardens in spinal centres to nurture lives after spinal injury

Story

Horatio’s Garden is a charity that creates and nurtures beautiful gardens in NHS Spinal injury centres to support everyone affected by spinal injuries. To date they have opened 4 gardens in Salisbury, Glasgow, Stoke Mandeville and Oswestry, and are planning to open 2 further gardens in London and Cardiff. Their vision is to create a thriving Horatio’s Garden in every NHS spinal injury centre.

On the 12th September we are going to swim 5km from the Royal Victoria Dock, through the murky waters of the River Thames, to the Royal Albert Dock and back. We’ve been trying to train hard during lockdown (made more difficult when they closed all the pools), but as a result have discovered some wonderful sea swimming locations.

Neither of us have ever swum anywhere near this far before, so any support you can give us would be greatly appreciated!!
