I have decided (some may say stupidly) to run the London marathon this year and I would like to raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity.

Even though my career in West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service is relatively young, I see first hand the good that the charity does for serving and ex-service fire fighters across the country. I am very lucky that I have not personally had to rely on the help offered by the charity, but I don't think there is a single fire fighter in the country that does not know someone that has accessed there unbelievable support network. 

I hope to raise as much funding as possible to keep the good work going and feel that I am doing my bit to help my current and previous colleagues with the support and help they may need one day.
