Tim's Police Unity Tour 2018 page

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.
On the 27th of July I will be commencing three days of cycling over 200 miles with police officers, staff and survivors in memory of all those officers that have paid the ultimate sacrifice during the course of their police duty.
Considering the most I had ridden before this challenge was 7 miles to work you will understand that this will be no mean feat.
Each rider is given the honour of riding in the memory of a fallen colleague. We are given a wrist band to wear during the ride which we hand over to a surviving family member at a service on Sunday.
This year I ride in memory of Allan SHAW. In 2006 Constable Allan Shaw of Greater Manchester Police died in a crash while riding a police motorcycle in Bolton during a training exercise. He left behind a wife and a daughter who was two at the time of the tragedy.
The charity COPS is dedicated to helping surviving families rebuild their lives after the death of a police officer on duty. It aims to provide the survivors with all the help they need to cope with such a tragedy whilst remaining part of the police family.
All donations with be greatly appreciated.
MANY thanks,
Tim
