Survivor Space (formerly OSARCC) is the only organisation providing non-statutory, accredited, specialist support to survivors of sexual violence in Oxfordshire.  We support survivors of all genders, aged 10 and above, who have experienced any form of sexual violence – at no cost to them.

Story

This August, I'll be riding in the Paris-Brest-Paris Randonneur (http://www.paris-brest-paris.org/), covering 1200km in under 84 hours. Before that, I've already had to complete rides of 200km, 300km, 400km and 600km this season to qualify and I still have a few long training rides to make sure I'm prepared.

A year ago, I'd never ridden 200km in one go. Last year I rode that distance several times and surprised myself by going on to complete a 600km event, but that left me feeling broken for about a week. To ride 1200km, I've still got a lot to learn, a lot of training to do and will need a lot of mental preparation. It's still very daunting to think about at times. Knowing that I'm doing this for such a good cause will make a huge difference.
