BUPA Great North Run 2013 · 15 September 2013 ·

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People trains dogs to alert deaf people to important and life-saving sounds such as the smoke alarm, alarm clock, intruder alarms and baby monitors. These amazing dogs also help deaf people to leave loneliness behind by providing love, companionship and emotional support.

Story

I am taking part in the Great North run this september in aid of the Hearing Dogs Charity.

The Hearing Dogs Charity does not recieve any government funding and so they rely solely on the support and generosity of individuals to fund their life-changing work of creating partnerships between deaf people and hearing dogs - providing independence, confidence and security. Please consider a donation to support this great cause. Also check out the photos of me and "Obie" who is a 12 week old puppy currently just starting his training!
