Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
NEWS FLASH 26th September 2011 - Tim successfully completed his triathlon!! Weather was great. Although he floundered around in the water.(23.36 for750m) ..he was superfast on the bike
If you want to experience a video of the bike ride join me on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PKR5lxWNKA...its fun!
and in good nick after the run, actually probably didn't push it enough. He ended up 138th of 177 finishers. So not bad for a first stab. A great event. Loads of supporters turned up and a big thank you to the denizens of St Mawes who cheered us all along. Will post photos soon.......You can still donate to a great cause though!
I'm raising money again for the clinic in Kamazinda, Masaka province, Uganda which is run by the Molly and Paul Childcare Foundation and which my wife Bud Byass, a nurse and former midwife, has been supporting. To see her story visit http://www.pearlofafrica.org.uk/Bud%27s%20story.html
The money raised here will go direct to paying the Uganda medical officer, Baker, the two nursing assistants and trying to keep the medicines in supply. The clinic both serves the children in the two schools at Kamazinda, the orphanages, the Farm School and the village and wider community. It has become more vital since the closure of the clinic at Chanamakaka. When Bud last visited in May 2011 the clinic was very busy with a heavy malaria outbreak and continuing work supporting the victims of the AIDS epidemic.
