Dan, Tom & Tim run 50km for Kokoda in a Day!

Tim & Tom run 50km with 3000m elevation · 11 October 2020
On October 11th Tom Mitchelhill, Daniel Squires and I will be completing 50km with an elevation gain of 3000m. The run will take place on Wollongong's Mt Keira and the surrounding escarpment.
Over the last 12 months Tom, Dan and I have been running fairly consistently, Tom and I in Wollongong and Dan in Canberra. On multiple occasions we agreed to attempt a 50km Ultra Marathon together in 2021. One morning running through the bush on Mt Keira, Tom and I ran into EPF's co-founder Adam who greeted us with "Hey guys, do you want a challenge?". We quickly alerted Dan of the upcoming opportunity and so the team was formed!
The allure of attempting this run way sooner than anticipated while also raising money for a great cause was too good to pass up! The run is to raise funds for EPF's awesome work helping communities to overcome the challenges of family violence, increase health and education outcomes and increase the opportunities to escape from poverty.
EPF is transforming the system that protects and strengthens women, children and communities, using sport as a vehicle for development.
We've set our sights on $2000, but we'd love to smash that number. If you've got a dollar to spare please consider putting it towards the three of us trashing ourselves on Mt Keira.
Thanks for stopping by!
