Four years ago, our family friend's son Stanley was diagnosed with Kawasaki Disease, a relatively unknown illness that can be life-threatening if not identified and treated early. With this in mind, I have chosen to raise funds for the charity Societi, the UK Foundation for Kawasaki Disease. This will be my first marathon, and I'm excited for the challenge! 

Kawasaki Disease is the #1 cause of acquired heart disease in children. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the disease has had an increased amount of airtime in the media, but the small charity Societi is in desperate need of funding. I've decided to fundraise for Societi Foundation so they can continue to support worried families, anxious parents and people with a history of Kawasaki Disease. Right now their resources are at an all-time low, yet their work to protect children from Kawasaki Disease has NEVER been more important.

I'd love to draw awarenes and help people understand the facts and symptoms of the disease. I'm keen to raise funds for this incredible charity, and support our amazing friends and their boy Stanley, The Kawasaki Kid! Please please please donate if you can, every penny counts! Thank you.
